Horizon SunCat 46 - luxury yacht without emission

 

The new SunCat 46 yacht is the first large solar yacht in the world built in serial-production. The yacht, 14 m in length, combines eco-friendly technology, luxury and elegant design. The yacht was designed by Juan Carlos Espinosa and was built in collaboration with the famous yacht manufacturer Horizon.


Outstanding handling characteristics
Suncat 46 offers all amenities that a high-class yacht in the 21st century can provide. The resistance and drift dynamic optimized catamaran hull guarantees outstanding handling characteristics and security in all situations for the vessel as well as the crew. SunCat 46 is available in two variations concerning the hull. 5.00 m width and 6.85 m either as a yacht or a passenger ship. Equipment, choice of material and handicraft are of highest quality.







Unlimited traveling range
State-of-the-art technologies are applied to all solarwaterworld yachts. SunCat 46 has a large roof surface ideal to assemble solar cell modules with up to 6 KW capacity. The gained energy is stored in battery units, which provide energy either for propulsion or everyday life on board. SunCat 46 proves: luxury and eco-friendliness is not a contradiction. Furthermore SunCat 46 has a virtually unlimited traveling range due to the use of solar electricity. No further fuel costs occur.
