A gold-plated superyacht built for its Malaysian owner is alleged to be worth £3 billion ($4.5 billion), making it the most expensive in the world.

The British-designed vessel is adorned with 100 tons of gold — covering more than half its surface.

The 100ft craft, which has been billed as the world's most unique yacht, has sleeping quarters covered in platinum and a statue made from the bone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

The deck, dining areas, rails and anchor were also made from precious metals including platinum.

The History Supreme — designed by Liverpool jeweller Stuart Hughes — puts even Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's swanky yacht in the shade.

The billionaire's 533ft Eclipse, which has its own missile defence system and escape submarine, is the world's biggest private yacht — but at £750million it is a snip compared to this creation.

Stuart, 40, who took three years to build the History Supreme for a Malaysian businessman, said: "It was probably the most mammoth task ever."

Stuart — who also made a £5million diamond-wrapped iPhone — added: "I've covered all sorts of things in gold but this has got to be my most ambitious project yet. This will never be topped.

"The businessman just approached us and asked us whether we could do it. He wanted a plane doing as well, but the thing would never take off if we did.

"So he said, 'Can you do the yacht?' and I said, 'We'll give it a crack.' Then it was pretty much a case of can you make this gold, can you make that gold?

"We just did what we were told and are delighted with the result."

The yacht was built in Italy and completed in Malaysia two weeks ago.

Mulder Design was challenged by Vicem to produce a state of the art design that could showcase Vicem’s legendary craftsmanship. The interior design, by Art-Line Studios will bring a new definition to the word luxury. The 46M are built in a state-of-the-art facility in Antalya, Turkey. Composite materials, applied with resin infusion and sandwich techniques, were chosen to achieve the best possible strength-to-weight ratios.


The result: a 200 ton yacht, powered by twin 3650 HP MTU engines, that delivers 25 knots top speed and efficient ocean-crossing range at reduced speed. Her three decks plus Sundeck design provides outstanding elegance for a knowledgeable owner, and five cabins of thrilled guests.


Her signature open Atrium design provides 45 feet of unbroken natural lighting, from the very top of the Sundeck all the way down to the Lower Deck. The main deck’s Master Suite uses every inch of this yachts’ 30 foot beam, and includes a CEO’s office and a private gymnasium. A graceful wraparound entry way leads to an inviting Jacuzzi and an arcing full-width head. Far aft is the galley, a dining area for ten, and a relaxing lounge and a spacious upper lounge area.

IAG Yachts has recruited former Tricon Marine co-founder and vice president Dave Adams as vice president in charge of operations.

Adams’ new duties will include achieving the highest quality standards of any shipyard in Asia. He will also be working closely with the design team to ensure that all yachts will perform to the highest standards, will be easily maintained, and will deliver new yacht owners as trouble-free a service as possible.

“We are both proud and excited to have Dave aboard IAG Yachts to help us turn our vision into reality,” says IAG CEO Michael Chang. “We know his record and in the short time he has been with IAG, he has already made significant improvements in design, efficiency, and quality.”

如果各位是Bugatti車廠的CEO,當你已經擁有數款足以稱霸地表的最速車款之後,還會感到不滿足嗎?倘若無法得到滿足,那接下來該怎麼做呢?繼續研發出稱霸30%地表的終極速度機器,還是將征服目標轉移至佔有70%的海洋世界呢?Bugatti不但沒有放棄前者,更選擇了後者!因為Bugatti已經特別邀請以「Ben Walsh」為首的設計團隊,設計出了一款名為「Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat」的概念快艇,準備向世人證明與展現它征服海洋的優異實力。

Bugatti已經擁有了稱霸地表的速度機器Veyron。

畢業於皇家藝術學院的「Ben Walsh」,曾任職於GM汽車的先進設計中心,擔任Cadillac Converj concept座艙設計團隊的隊員,後來因熱愛於法國車款,因此轉任投效於PSA集團,且同樣擔任內裝設計的工作。然而此次卻將目標投向了Bugatti,為這家道路最速車廠設計了這艘Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat概念快艇。

船身採與Veyron Sang Bleu車款相同的銀/藍配色。

船身乃大量使用碳纖維與鋁合金材質進行打造。

Ben Walsh所設計的Sang Bleu speedboat concept概念快艇,船身長度為30英呎,整個船體乃仿照Veyron的做法與設計,採與Veyron Sang Bleu特仕車相同的「藍、銀」雙色調進行配色,不僅造型流線深具未來感,讓它看似來自異次元的交通工具,其所大量採用的鋁合金與碳纖維材質所呈現出的精緻質感,更讓整艘船猶如是件現代的藝術精品。

至於動力系統部份,則將搭載一具Veyron身上的W16渦輪增壓引擎,但從目前的圖片來看,Sang Bleu speedboat是採用單一推進器的動力結構設計,因此在僅有一組螺旋槳的設計之下,可能無法承受高達1000匹以上的最大動力輸出,因此Ben Walsh未來勢必得在動力結構上進行一番修改,才能將高達千匹以上的馬力發揮的淋漓盡致。

將搭載一具Veyron身上的W16渦輪增壓引擎,擁有1000匹以上的輸出動力。

澎湖爭取 沒落漁港轉型遊艇港

 澎湖縣政府原本規劃重光碼頭為遊艇港,但因監察院糾舉,遊艇港緊急喊停。

澎湖一向為遊艇玩家所喜愛,但卻沒有大型遊艇港口泊靠,今年海峽盃帆船賽首次抵澎舉行,就找不到適當的港口,引起澎湖縣議會關注,但澎湖縣政府表示,全國十處的遊艇碼頭,僅有兩處成功,因此遭到監察院糾舉而停擺。

其實由交通部與農委會規劃的十處遊艇碼頭,澎湖未名列其中,原本澎湖縣政府規劃草蓆仔尾垃圾場附近的重光碼頭,成為澎湖遊艇港,配合馬公公墓遷移的八公頃土地,吸引財團進行BOT案,但經費向農委會與交通部爭取,全都被打回票,並互踢皮球,最近又傳出遭監察院糾舉,停止其他遊艇港興建。

澎湖因為境內私人遊艇數較少,大型遊艇港無用武之地,因此縣府希望將小型、沒落漁港轉型為小型遊艇港,所需經費約數千萬元就已足夠,著眼點在於中國經濟崛起,私人遊艇玩家愈來愈多,因此澎湖縣政府希望藉由小型遊艇港,以泊靠二十艘以內的遊艇為主,吸引中國私人遊艇泊港,登岸後所需的食物補給、交通運輸等,促進當地商機發展及就業機會,目前規劃馬公第一漁港、石泉、山水及前寮、菜園港等為主,同時五鄉一市都有規劃點。

雖然此次澎湖縣議會舊案重提遊艇港規劃,最主要的原因就是今年海峽盃帆船賽首度移師澎湖,但卻找不到遊艇港泊靠,因此由議長劉陳昭玲總結時提案,議員陳雙全等人附議,但有鑑於台灣遊艇港建設失敗,澎湖縣政府還是傾向建造小型遊艇港,成功機率較大。

A nationally coordinated battle plan is the only way to get Federal and State Government action to ignite the beleaguered marine industry delegates at the first ever National Marine Industry Emergency Revival Summit were told.

More than 100 delegates registered for the crisis forum as the marine Industry continues to struggle with the effects of the global financial crisis and the downturn in the retail sector.

From businesses who supply marine paint to the chief executive officers of some of the biggest names in boating, they came to have a voice over changes needed to save jobs and businesses that were closing every day.

Marine Queensland Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Don Jones said it was not alarmist to use the term crisis talks - this forum was needed to canvas as many options as possible to develop a priority action plan to help industry through tough economic times.

Mr. Jones said nationally, the Boating Industry Associations represented more than 1,500 land and water based businesses employing around 12,000 people who have been virtually ignored by Federal and State governments who do not see the industry as a priority.  More than 75 per cent of marine businesses were based in Queensland.

"We always hear about the loss to the livelihoods of farmers and the building industry but this industry is hurting too," Mr. Jones said.

"Family businesses have folded and jobs lost:  the impact on marine businesses right across the country cannot be ignored. It is time to get serious to stem the ever increasing job losses within the industry."

Marine Queensland teamed with the Boating Industries Alliance Australia for the summit with support from chief executive officers from Yamaha, Riviera, Maritimo and Telwater along with marine representatives from Victoria, New South Wales, West Australia and the Northern Territory to establish a member driven action plan.

Chairing the discussion was insolvency and reconstruction lawyer Scott Taylor from Taylor McDonald Lawyers who said it was important the industry was proactive rather than reactive.

"This is the time financially distressed businesses need to get good advice and support - many will leave this forum better equipped emotionally thanks to an opportunity to air their grievances with both industry and government inaction," Mr. Taylor said.

Priority will be given to the impact of Grey Imports - cheap foreign marine imports that may not comply with Australian safety standards  - that are destabilising the marine retail market.

Local boat builders have warned many grey imports, which are unregistered in the US and Europe, are so bad they could only be registered in Australia and Somalia, with consumers being the ones to lose out.

Government interference in the form of over regulating, costs and red tape also came under fire and aggressive discussion by members - with a call for a Government action plan to combat interference.

Boating Industries Alliance Australia General Manager Nik Parker said this forum was about national issues and setting a national agenda so real and considered action could be taken to improve the industry.

"This was not about sitting back and simply being critical of the industry: this is about working toward improvements, sustainability and the survival of jobs and businesses into the future," Mr. Parker said.

已閒置10餘年的台南市將軍漁港日前獲內政部核准變更開發,台南市政府五月27日召開跨局處會議,確定將於今年10月先辦理修造船廠7.05公頃用地招商,並將與雲嘉南濱海國家管理處合作發展馬沙溝濱海度假村,共同推動將軍漁港產業活化


台南市副市長林欽榮五月27日上午召集市府農業、都發、地政、財政、經發等相關局處舉行協調會,針對將軍漁港變更開發計畫進行協商。林欽榮指出,近來因台商回流,尤其遊艇產業慢慢在南部形成聚落,許多廠商向市府洽詢,希望由市府主導開發的將軍漁港遊艇產業專區能儘早開放

 
市府農業局指出,將軍漁港位於台南市將軍區,港區遼闊且港區內風平浪小,適合船隻試船停泊。漁港泊地面積有36.5公頃,陸域面積79.8公頃,總計面積達到116.3公頃,對外有台17線省道和台61線西濱快速道路,交通網絡相當便利。

 
為了解決將軍漁港的閒置問題,原台南縣政府在97年3月提報變更開發計畫至內政部營建署審查,在今年3月中獲得內政部核發變更開發許可。未來將軍漁港將增加修造船廠觀光休閒公園綠地等多項用途,並由市府農業局辦理土地分區與使用地變更程序,預計在今年10月先進行三筆修造船廠土地招商事宜

依照農業局規劃,將軍漁港的開發案預計將分2期辦理第1期的期程是100年3月起至104年12月,內容包括道路、公園、停車場等公共設施和自來水、電力、污水下水道系統,約需3.67 億元。第2期期程自105年1月至106年12月,內容包括北側泊地浚挖、碼頭及臨碼頭道路,約需3.07億元。

農業局計畫今年將先執行修造船廠周邊的公共設施,總共約需8千萬元,將由農業局所屬單位「漁港及近海管理所」辦理。而副市長林欽榮也特別要求,未來招商之修造船廠由市府提供太陽能光電屋頂補助,讓製造業成本降低,也能成為太陽能光電城的一個示範點

以下內容摘錄自高雄美國商會 2010年 南台灣白皮書中,有關南星計畫遊艇專區開發與遊艇所有權等相關議題:

高雄港務局應與地方政府合作管理,發展海洋產業首先必須加以釐清其涵蓋範圍,包括製造、物流、支援、相關觀光休憩據點、餐廳、飯店等。

水域權利與管理的法規應更明確。中央政府必須給予擴大控制與水權,才能使目前大家都很期待的計畫與改善方案得以實現。

遊艇產業的重要議題:
第一、商務部門應享有更大的港區控制權
第二、內陸交通有待改善
第三、劃分遊艇專區給遊艇製造業者(適合舉辦國際遊艇展

人才的教育與再培訓也是必要的。遊艇專區一旦建設完成,應提供適當的人力來因應國內外遊客的到來,管理營運必須項暢有效率,並且有適當的安全措施。
教育訓練應著重於因應豪華遊艇觀光所帶來的生活型態、商業與產業型態的轉變。

成立遊艇聯合協會(台灣遊艇與遊艇碼頭協會,簡稱T.Y.M.A.,或是南台灣遊艇協會,簡稱S.T.A.Y.),以確保南星計畫與高雄遊艇碼頭公園的項利發展

高雄流行音樂中心(全名為「高雄海洋文化及流行音樂中心」)是非常重要的計畫,能重塑與活絡高雄的觀光產業。目前最大的阻礙是水權的移轉
高雄流行音樂中心應朝國際化設計,又能突顯地方特性,並且提供便捷交通網,其地理位置能在幾分鐘內到達市內的主要觀光景點、購物商圈與飯店餐廳。

南星計畫的發展必須將這個地區的重工業轉型為更環保的工商業型態

目前最迫切的議題就是釋出水域與管理權利,例如愛河區域,以鼓勵船舶活動的舉行。
努力將高雄港區打造為更開放、更易向國際招手的友善環境。歡迎大型郵輪到高雄港停泊、上岸觀光,歡迎國際遊艇活動到高雄市舉辦。

南星計畫應朝將南台灣打造為全球遊艇製造中心的目標發展,創造遊艇產業的聚落效益

因遊艇所有權的法規限制,台灣境內市場不得有遊艇的買賣交易。
建議應鬆綁法令,開放私人遊艇的所有權,這不僅能推動國內期盼已久的遊艇觀光休憩市場,並且能打開奢華旅遊市場,吸引國際郵輪與全球富豪遊艇來台灣本島與離島停泊

高雄市政府海洋局在鼓山區已規畫一個帄船與遊艇的停泊區域,這非常適合帶動遊艇產業。應鬆綁遊艇所有權與使用管理的限制,使高雄市民、居民與遊客都能善加利用。

未來發展的所有層面都必須包括海洋汙染防治

海洋局的協調合作 + 養殖漁業的升級 + 南星計畫 + 高雄市政府釋出更多的碼頭 + 高雄流行音樂中心 + 遊艇專區 + 海洋汙染防治 = 活絡觀光產業的發展

海洋文化場館的建置,提供的是長期性文化知識的推廣,而已連續7年舉辦的「高雄海洋博覽會」則是擴大將高雄海洋首都的意象推展全台,今(2011)年是縣市合併後首次舉行,更廣邀全台民眾跟著高雄一起「瘋海洋」。

自2004年開辦至今,「高雄海洋博覽會」年年吸引全台熱愛海洋活動的人潮前來高雄參觀,透過海洋論壇、海洋科技文化教育、船舶展示或休閒娛樂等活動的接觸,參與民眾藉此輕鬆了解到高雄發展海洋事務的現況與未來願景,也深刻體會藍天碧海開闊的海洋觀光魅力。

今年的海洋博覽會8月13日至17日在真愛、光榮碼頭盛大登場,除了往年總是聚集大批人群參觀的海軍艦艇展、遊艇展外,還特地向台南市政府借調仿17世紀鄭成功來台戰船所建的實體古帆船(臺灣成功號),讓民眾登船感受昔日靠風力行駛的台灣古船氛圍,一窺航海歷史的絕代風華。

Marine inventory turns in EMEA up 28 per cent in Q1

GE Capital sees utilisation of finance facilities at highest level in two years

According to the most recent release of the GE Capital EMEA Marine Index, the pace of sales for motorboats, yachts and outboard engines across Europe, the Middle East and Africa improved by 28 per cent through the end of March 2011 compared to the same period a year ago.

Based on the duration of inventory funding for marine manufacturers and dealers financed by GE Capital, the Index provides a quarterly view of consumer demand for marine products across the EMEA region.

Average inventory holding periods ended the first quarter at approximately 150 days across the EMEA area with some underlying volatility due to seasonal boat show stocking as well as geographic differences across Europe, in line with the wider macro-economic environment.

“We estimate the overall market continued to exhibit gradual growth of around 2-3 per cent during the period,” said Andrew Stafferton, Marine Industry Leader for GE Capital in EMEA. “Year-over-year comparison suggests the market has seen approximately double digit growth of new boat sales in the 10-14 per cent range,” he added.

As further evidence of market improvement, Stafferton said dealer inventory levels expanded during the first quarter and utilisation of inventory finance facilities in March 2011 were at the highest level seen in two years.  “In general, confidence is steadily improving across the EMEA marine sector, driven by stronger consumer appetite to commit to product orders,” commented Stafferton.
