Eclipse finally handed over in Hamburg

More than a year after being floated out of Blohm & Voss' shed, the massive superyacht Eclipse has finally been handed over — according to eye-witnesses.

The motoryacht — which is believed to be around163m (535ft) — was seen departing from her dock in Hamburg, Germany. The event was captured on film and has been posted on youtube.com.

Construction of Eclipse took longer than anticipated and, while the builder has never been permitted to publicly discuss the project, there are industry reports that her build program was delayed due to her interior.
